Now in its 44th year, Mal­lory’s plum pud­ding races con­tinue to of­fer su­per-un­leaded-fu­elled re­lief for those look­ing to es­cape a te­dious post Chrimbo day with rel­a­tives, not to men­tion a rac­ing fix sev­eral months be­fore the sea­son starts again. It’s cars and bikes, plus side­cars too, so there’s plenty to see. Gates open at 8.45am, prac­tice starts at 9.45, rac­ing be­gins at 11.30. Mal­lory’s can­teen grub is leg­endary too.
