1983 Yamagamma

Practical Sportsbikes (UK) - - In Your Shed -

Owner: Mike Jefferson, Edinburgh Owned for: six years So far: built up from frame discovered hidden behind summerhouse What’s next? new cases and an oil pump

My Yamagamma all started with a frame that was languishing behind a summerhouse at the bottom of the garden. My wife said, “Why don’t you build something with it, use up some of the stuff you have lying about?” So I did. It’s a MK1 Gamma frame, swingarm and tank, wheels are a 2MA TZR rear (the biggest I could get in the swingarm), front end is a mix of 4DL and SZR660. Shock is Öhlins from an RRT ’Blade with a lighter spring. The motor is a 4L1 250.

Amazing what can be done with stuff lying around in the garden
