Do it – and do it right
What a great job Chris Trunwitt did on his Z1 R2. I’m not a bit surprised how good it looks because I saw his FZR1000 at the Sammy Miller Show and it was every bit as correct as the Zed. The fact that he even had a shock spring built up with weld and then rubbed back to circular says it all. Most people would have just turned the spring so the flatted bit was hidden by the remote reservoir. If ever there’s an example of doing a job right – the whole resto – then that’s it. Great magazine by the way.
Mint white Z1 R2 is a top resto job
