THESE ARE the pads we used for PB’S 2008 Fireblade project. They gave lots of power, delivered with progression and sensitivity, and with no fade. If you’re not familiar, our Honda weighs 173kg full of fluids, so inevitably it would try to lift the rear on the brakes. These pads allow you to finely control the point of rear wheel lift, or trail braking. We’ve noted the friction material is easy to damage fitting them over discs, or to implements used to prize pads apart. Not a problem if you fit pads and mostly leave them undisturbed until brake maintenance or pad replacement time, but knocking chunks out of them could be a concern if you’re regularly swapping wheels for racing or trackdays: they’d be due a higher score if it wasn’t for that.
