Nope, not just another carbon-look GSX1100S. This big Kat from Japanese tuning shop ‘Quarter’ is the real deal. All the carbon fibre bodywork was made in-house, including the tank that was created using an original as a female mould.
Fitting carbon bodywork, cutting away extraneous metal from the frame, and picking the lightest chassis components, has shed a hefty 70 kilos from this Kat: it’s now just 187kg dry. You’ll notice the motor’s not stock, either. For that matter it’s not even a Katana lump, rather a ported GSX-R1100M mill running Yoshi cams – and making 150bhp-plus. One fantastic feline.
