We had to double-take this Honda, thinking at first glance it was a modified NS250R V-twin. On closer inspection it becomes clear that the tubular frame and V3 engine are from an MVX250. The Japanese owner has removed all the obvious MVX pointers such as inboard disc brakes, Comstar wheels, and bikini fairing, in favour of a stripped-back vibe sitting on NSR250 R5K wheels, brakes, forks and swingarm.
Check out the bodywork, too. That’s not off-the-shelf stuff. The seat unit, originally from an ’84 RS250, is massively modified – we love the way it mates with the again-modified MVX tank. We’ve seen plenty of trick MVXS, but this is surely the best yet.
