What’s next: get to the bottom of carb issues

bought this in October – I’ve had my eye out for another one since I had a TRX as my first big bike after passing my test. This was £1200, and its last MOT was 2016, so it hadn’t been used on the road for a while and needed a little TLC. So I decided I needed it. I’ve done a fair bit of work to get it how it is today.

The forks were rebuilt with new seals and fitted with Hagon springs, and a Hagon rear shock went in too (gift from my brother, sat in his shed doing nothing). The rear linkage was rebuilt with fresh bearings and seals. The front and rear calipers have been cleaned and rebuilt, and I had the wheels powdercoated. And I sourced a standard chain guard.

The ancillaries got a rattle-can refresh, and my daughter recovered the seats. The carbs were ultrasonically cleaned, however more fettling is required there, they need new emulsion tubes I suspect… then enjoy it.

?? ?? Looking very posh indeed. Just some fresh emulsion tubes for the carbs (fingers crossed) and ready to rock
