YAMAHA DT80 MX
Another example of how values are relative now – £500 for an unregistered, rotten import tiddler seems a lot. But a decent runner can be £2000. If you want a sports ’ped, the 80cc version looks the same and is more rideable. By and large they’re inexpensive and easy projects, so rewarding if you’re short on experience or time. Beware though, the same bits always rot out (the swingarm is a potential nasty surprise) and they can be hard to find, so they can still be a headache to get right.
