Making BABIES

UR VISTAHERMOSA IN ALICANTE, SPAIN, HAS BEEN DEDICATED TO ASSISTED REPRODUCTION FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS

-

We started 30 years ago with a steadfast and innovative approach. Steadfast, as those 30 years guarantee the professionalism and the rigour of our work.

Innovative, as we are always one step ahead. In 1983 we inaugurated the first sperm bank of the Alicante region in Spain for the cryopreservation of male gametes in order to use them for artificial insemination, or to cryopreserve them for radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery treatments.

This great experience has been determined by our ongoing commitment to training, teaching and research. These are the three pillars that have allowed us to develop the newest reproductive treatments and techniques.

WHAT DISTINGUISHES US

• Location in a Hospital Our patients feel safer knowing that we are located within Hospital Clínica Vistahermosa. We don’t understand why any reproduction unit should exist outside of a hospital environment.

• Quality of the processes This is a priority in our work, and the reason why we have annual audits from official organisations and external audits.

• Personal treatment We don’t work with patients - we work with people. Our goal is to provide as much information as possible and answer all questions about our treatment because we realise how complex our work is.

• Professional agreements We have agreements with all the centres and reproduction professionals who entrust us with their patients. This improves our efficiency in coordinating and completing those necessary studies that are assessed together, to give diagnoses and counselling on the treatment.

• Our own multidisciplinary team Our team is made up of gynaecologists, geneticists, embryologists, andrologists, anaesthetists, nurses, auxiliary nurses, administration staff and, of course, our international department.

• Coordination This is something essential in our work as our team works together, avoiding delays or time wasted during a reproduction treatment, with consequent benefits for our patients.

• Success rates Our results are above the averages published in the Spanish Fertility Society.

OUR PROFESSIONAL TEAM

The most important asset of any health structure should be the staff. At the at UR Vistahermosa in Hospital Clínica Vistahermosa, we are proud of our team and we have worked together for many years. Our rate of temporary employment is low, as all our colleagues feel happy with what they do and don’t wish to work anywhere else.

This is essential in the field of reproduction as we deal with people. This is why it is important to work with a team which conveys confidence, experience and knowledge. Doctor López Gálvez, director and founder of the Unit, guides our team of gynaecologists, geneticists, embryologists, andrologists, anaesthetists, nurses, auxiliary nurses, administration stuff, psychologists and our personnel of international-external department.

Our aims • To guarantee the most effective treatment • To give a personal treatment • To reduce the level of anxiety • To transmit hospital safety • To act transparently and ethically • To innovate and evolve regularly
