YOUR CLEAR SKIN DETOX
ON WAKING Have a glass of water with a squeeze of lemon or grapefruit.
BREAKFAST A vitamin C-rich green juice. Juice together 1 pear, 1 apple, 2 stalks of celery, a little ginger and 1 cup of kale or spinach. If you’re using a Nutribullet blender, then add 200ml (⅓ pint) coconut water.
MID-MORNING A small handful of nuts and seeds
– a perfect hunger buster and energy booster.
LUNCH Grate ¼ cauliflower and lightly steam. Grill a piece of salmon (100g/3½oz). Serve on the cauli with spiralised courgette and carrot. Season with 2tsp tamari or soy sauce.
MID-AFTERNOON A cup of herbal tea.
SUPPER Soup! Simmer together 1 diced onion, 2 diced carrots, 4 broccoli florets, 1 cup chopped tomatoes, 2 cups spinach and 1 cup cabbage with 1tbsp fresh ginger, 1 clove garlic, 1tsp turmeric, ¼tsp chilli flakes, 5-6 cups water and 2 veg stock cubes. When cooked, blend smooth. Makes 2-3 servings.
BEDTIME A cup of herbal tea, something stress-reducing like lemon balm.
