Beware bargain travel deals

You trawl the internet looking for cheap flights.

Where searching online for bargains, be mindful of hidden costs. You might have to pay extra for your luggage, for example, and if your really cheap flight is at 4am, you might not be able to get to the airport on public transport, meaning you end up taking a taxi or booking a hotel room at the airport the night before. It’s easy to get obsessed with saving money on the flight, but actually everything else about your holiday costs as well. Also be mindful of your time. You could spend two hours online comparing flights, but maybe you could have spent that time more usefully, possibly even earning extra money.
