Slip into a bath

Sleep is a top rem­edy for stress, but if you’re buzzing from fes­tiv­i­ties and find­ing it hard to drop off, take time out for a sooth­ing herbal bath. ‘When I feel es­pe­cially fraught, I use the same bath blend as my favourite wind-down tea, all swooshed to­gether with mus­cle­re­lax­ing French sea salts,’ says her­bal­ist Tip­per Lewis. Here’s how to make it…

Blend equal parts of dried pink rose­buds, laven­der and chamomile flow­ers. In­fuse a hand­ful of the mix in a pint of boiled wa­ter for 10-15 mins. Run your bath, add the sea salts, then pour in the herb mix through a sieve. Slide in and re­lax for a good 15-20 mins.

THE RE­SULT? Soft skin, soothed mind and a body ready for rest. Hello, eight hours’ sleep!
