Try to find a use for pre-loved items. I love old wellies nailed to a wall or fence and filled with plants – I’ve also seen a jacket hung up with plants poking out of the pockets. We’ve even used an old toaster: my son filled it with soil and grew a wonderful plant! And, the beauty is, when you are a bit bored of the plant holder, taking it to the recycling centre doesn’t seem as bad because it was heading there anyway.
