Jolly up a jar

Use decoupage to make these glorious table-top vases, perfect to display freshly cut flowers.

YOU WILL NEED

✽ Old jam and coffee jars

✽ Craft glue

✽ Decoupage papers or thin wrapping paper

TO MAKE

❶ Cut or tear your paper into small but different-sized pieces.

❷ Apply the glue to a small part of the jar you want to decorate.

❸ Stick a piece of paper to the glued area.

❹ Reapply more glue on to the paper, smoothing it from the centre to the sides.

❺ Repeat the process, overlapping pieces of paper until the jar is completely covered.

❻ Leave to dry before filling with your favourite flowers.
