Lessons in LOVE!

-

When you’ve been with your partner for a number of years, it can be hard not to let complacency creep in, can’t it? We get used to the way they are and the things they do, and when we come home after a day’s work, our minds can focus more on getting the supper started than listening to what they might have to say. It’s easy to forget to be grateful for the things they do and simply moan about the things they haven’t done. If any of this sounds familiar, take a look at our Back To Relationship School special (page 29), which has some great advice on how to rekindle that spark. We also have all you need to know if you’re ready to dip your toe into the dating game again: go on, take the plunge! And on the matter of love and marriage, I thought our cover star Phyllis Logan’s advice on keeping your relationship firing on all cylinders was great. Check it out and see if you agree. On that note, I hope you love our Downton Abbey film gossip with Phyllis (page 8). She was such fun to meet and nothing like her character, the stern housekeeper Mrs Hughes! I also urge any of you who are feeling stuck in a rut to look at our inspiring reads on page 38. Three brave women changed their lives to follow their dreams. And seeing Amy with that gorgeous giraffe (above) will give you an idea of the adventures they got up to!

On page 120, Sarah Beeny tackles your

DIY dilemmas so you can get your home looking fabulous before the nights draw in.

Okay, so I know none of us want to think about autumn just yet, but this month’s fashion may help you adjust (page 14).

We have the nine trends everyone will be wearing, and they’re gorgeous.

Happy shopping!
