MATERIALS
10(11:11:12) 50g balls of King Cole Merino Blend DK in Carnation 3090. Pair each size 3.25mm, 3.5mm and 3.75mm knitting needles.
TENSION
23 sts and 31 rows to 10cm square over st-st using 3.75mm needles.

BACK AND FRONT (both alike)
With 3.5mm needles, cast on 105(111:117:123) sts. Moss st row K1, [p1, k1] to end. Rep this row 11 times more. Change to 3.75mm needles and, beg with a k row, work in st-st throughout. Work 12 rows.
Dec row (RS) K3, ssk, k to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3. Work 5 rows. Rep the last 6 rows once more. Dec row (RS) K3, ssk, k to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3. Work 3 rows. Rep the last 4 rows twice more then the dec row again. 93(99:105:111) sts. Work 10 rows. Inc row (RS) K3, m1, k to last 3 sts, m1, k3. Work 7 rows. Shape armholes

row (WS) P1, p2tog, p to last 3 sts, p2tog tbl, p1. Rep these 2 rows once more, then the 1st dec row again. P 1 row. Work 1st dec row. Rep the last 2 rows 4(3:3:2) times more. 77(83:89:95) sts. Cont straight until work measures 56(57:57:58)cm from cast on edge, ending with a WS row.
Shape neck
Next row (RS) K14(16:18:20), turn and cont on these sts only, leave rem sts on a spare needle. Cast off 4 sts at beg (neck edge) of next row and foll WS row. 6(8:10:12) sts. Dec 1 st at neck edge of next 3 rows. Work 1 row. Cast off rem 3(5:7:9) sts. With RS facing, slip 49(51:53:55) sts at centre on to a holder, rejoin yarn, cast off 4 sts, k to end.
Cast off 4 sts at beg (neck edge) of next RS row. 6(8:10:12) sts. Dec 1 st at neck edge of next 3 rows. Work 1 row. Cast off rem 3(5:7:9) sts.
SLEEVES
With 3.5mm needles, cast on 55(57:59:61) sts. Work 8 rows in moss st. Change to 3.75mm needles. Beg with a k row, work 4 rows. Inc

NECK EDGINGS Front
With RS facing and
3.5mm needles, pick up and k13(12:14:13) sts down left front neck edge shaping, k across 49(51:53:55) sts at centre front, then pick up and k13(12:14:13) sts up right front neck edge shaping. 75(75:81:81) sts. Change to 3.25mm needles.
Work 5 rows in moss st, decreasing 1 st at each end of every row. 65(65:71:71) sts. Cast off in moss st, decreasing as before.
Back
Work exactly as Front neck edge.
TO MAKE UP
Join neck edge and shoulder seams. With centre of cast off edge to shoulder, sew sleeves into armholes, easing to fit. Join underarm, sleeve and side seams.
