l Stand on one leg while brushing your teeth or washing up. Keep your support knee soft and posture upright. Swap your legs and gradually increase the time you stand.

l Walk heel to toe for 10 steps, placing one foot directly in front of the other; turn and repeat. Too easy? Try doing it backwards.

l Stand tall, then lift your heels off the floor, taking your weight on your toes. Hold for three to five seconds, then lower with control. Repeat 10 times. Now try raising your toes, taking your weight on your heels without sticking your bottom out. Hold for three to five seconds, then lower with control. Repeat 10 times.
