Here’s to the GOOD LIFE!

-

What a thrill it is to have Felicity Kendal as our May cover star. She’s been in so many productions but it’s The Good Life that is my favourite, and 40 or so years on, it still stands the test of time as being a laugh-outloud funny comedy. Felicity chats in our interview (page 10) about how the teamwork between herself, Richard Briers, Dame Penelope Keith and Paul Eddington made the show a success. But after meeting Felicity at our cover shoot, there’s no doubt that her warm and sunny disposition helped give the show that wonderful feelgood factor. She’s 74 now, but looks years younger and has kept her petite figure of those Good Life days; more on how she manages that in our feature. She’s also about to take on one of the biggest challenges of her life – starring in a musical; I even caught her practising her tap moves between takes on our shoot. She doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone, but for Felicity, it’s all about grabbing life with both hands, something we at Prima absolutely believe in. In fact, this month’s issue is full of ideas for getting out there and enjoying yourself. We’re celebrating the great outdoors (page 36), helping you enjoy dressing up again (page 62) and revealing why laughter really is the best medicine (page 34). And if you want a bit of real-life inspiration, do read about the women who’ve found their own place for a spot of me-time – in a shed (page 28). I have real shed envy! Here’s hoping this issue helps to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step, and that you get to enjoy a bit of the good life, too!
