WOOLLY PUMPKINS

Who would have thought you could turn balls of yarn into Halloween decorations?

YOU WILL NEED

✽ Balls of wool in rich colours ✽ Patterned fabrics ✽ Scissors ✽ Twine or cotton thread

TO MAKE

❶ Squash the ball of wool so it looks more like a pumpkin shape.

❷ Choose a fabric design that co-ordinates with the wool colour and cut two leaves and a strip

of fabric (to roll into a stalk shape). Tie twine or cotton thread around the rolled stalk to hold the fabric in place.

❸ Gently press the fabric leaves and stalk into the centre of the ball of wool.

❹ Use a length of wool in another colour to add more decoration to the top, to mimic a pumpkin’s tendrils.
