MEASUREMENTS

Circumference: 20cm Depth: 6cm.

TENSION

41 sts and 32 rows to measure 10 x 10cm over cable patt using 4mm needles.

ABBREVIATIONS

C6B slip the next 3 sts to cn (cable needle) and hold at back of work, K3, K3 from cn; cn cable needle; K/k knit; P/p purl; rep(s) repeat(s); RS right side; st(s) stitch(es); WS wrong side. Cast on 25 sts using 4mm needles. Work in cable pattern as follows using the written or charted instructions:

CABLE PATTERN

Row 1 (RS) (K2, p2) twice, k9, (p2, k2) twice. Row 2 and all WS rows (P2, k2) twice, p9, (k2, p2) twice.

Row 3 (K2, p2) twice, k3, c6b, (p2, k2) twice.

Row 5 (K2, p2) twice, c6b, k3, (p2, k2) twice.

Rows 7 and 9 Rep Row 1. Row 10 (P2, k2) twice, p9, (k2, p2) twice.

FOR BOTH WRITTEN AND CHARTED INSTRUCTIONS

Rep Rows 1 to 10 of cable pattern until cuff measures 20cm, ending with a WS row.

Cast off.

TO MAKE UP

Darn in yarn ends. Sew cast-on and cast-off edges together.
