Stargaze in TENERIFE
The sun-washed island of Tenerife is so much more than just a fly ’n’ flop destination. Along with its dramatic black volcanic beaches, the interior is dotted with banana plantations, traditional villages and protected national parks, which cover almost half of the island. Take a trip to the centre and discover mighty Mount Teide, the third largest volcano in the world, surrounded by an unearthly landscape of solid lava. This area is also one of the world’s best dark sky areas for stargazing.
JUST THE TICKET!
A great place to explore the island from is the adult-only Riu Arecas Hotel, just a short walk to the beach in the upmarket part of Costa Adeje, and a five-minute drive to the fishing village of La Caleta.
