MATT’S COUNTRY COMFORTS

The animals that make me smile the most are… dogs, because I’ve had so many happy times with them.

My ideal weather is… a storm, because it’s so invigorating.

The scent I enjoy the most is… freshly cut hay.

The sound I could listen to for ever is… curlews calling – it’s beautiful.

My favourite tree to sit under is… an oak tree. I love the dappled light beneath it on a sunny day.

The veg I love to grow is… cabbage. It’s perfect covered in gravy!

The season I enjoy the most is… autumn. I love the colours, and that feeling of bedding down for winter.

In the countryside, I’m happiest when… I’m with my family.
