The hair
Hairstylist Sian gave Nayna’s pixie cut some texture and polish by running a small amount of styling pomade from root to tip with her hands. She rates L’oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Density Material Wax Paste, £16.50, for its ‘soft and malleable finish’.

Fashion entrepreneur Nayna is no stranger to incorporating colour into her outfits, yet when it comes to eye makeup, she relies on classic, neutral hues. Day-to-day, she’s a fan of bold lipstick worn against a natural complexion, but she’s keen to play up her brown eyes with a pop of colour.
The makeup
Statement eyes are big for S/S 22 and vibrant eyeliners are a great way to make the trend work in real life. Makeup artist Julie prepped Nayna’s eyelids with concealer and powder to create an even base and maximise makeup longevity. When it comes to eyeliner, you can take your favourite shade as a starting point, but as a general guide, gemstone hues (emerald, sapphire) are flattering on all skin tones, and sunshine shades (orange, yellow) are striking on pale complexions. Julie used MAC Eye Kohl in Minted along the top lash line, flicking upwards and outwards to open up the eyes, before intensifying with a line of matching eyeshadow. ‘Start small to get your confidence,’ she says. ‘Try a thin line or start from the middle of the lash line.’ Nayna’s radiant skin was enhanced with a hint of liquid highlighter to bring out her cheekbones and a dusting of bronzer for sun-kissed warmth.
