I like Steve Wilson, I’ve seen him live, but his new album is a self-confessed pop album! It has one good track. You are so sycophantic it is beyond belief. None of the critics actually voted his album number one! So why have you voted it number one?
Why have Magenta been ignored? They have released their
finest album since Seven, and you have ignored them.

It’s a mathematical process where No. 1 gets 20 points and No. 20 gets 1 point. If we cheated on that, we’d be inundated with letters pointing that out. Hardly sycophancy, although if Wilson hadn’t won we doubt you’d have bothered writing in. As for Magenta - a four page feature in issue 75 and a box out album review in 78 is hardly ignoring them! - Ed.
