My Favourite Solo

Prog - - Intro - By Geoff Downes (YES)

“Keith emerson is the biggest influence on me – i remember seeing the nice at the isle of wight festival and being blown away. But my favourite solo is david sinclair’s solo in nine feet Underground by Caravan. it’s quite long – maybe four minutes – and it’s not a blowing solo, but it creates this wonderful atmosphere that keeps on developing. and it’s very original – it has a lot of fuzzbox and wah-wah that creeps in and out, almost like he’s singing it. david is the opposite of Keith – very reserved, sitting down not jumping around like a madman. But he got a magic sound." DEV
