GOOD TIGER’S GUITARIST WRESTLES WITH GOING SOLO

Derya Nagle announces his one-man super project.

Former Wrestlers release their debut EP, Champion Of The World, on March 15. It’s the latest project from Good Tiger and ex-The Safety Fire guitarist Derya ‘Dez’ Nagle.

“I ended up with a bunch of songs that had no obvious purpose, so I decided to record them for this EP,” he explains. “The sound is different to anything I’ve done before but there will inevitably be connections with my past.”

Nagle sings and plays every instrument on the EP, except for drums, which he programmed. Perhaps understandably, he says he’s keeping the project in the studio for now.

“I’ve not got the time to think about dates. But if things go really well, I could change my mind. I’d like to develop the idea of wearing a wrestling mask. If Former Wrestlers goes further, then it could become the basis for my alter ego.”
