SECOND FLIGHT TO PLUTO!
Welsh proggers team up with Magenta’s Rob Reed for their punchy second album.
Last Flight To Pluto tackle serious themes of drug abuse and domestic violence on A Drop In The Ocean, out via White Knight on March 29.
Says singer Alice Freya, “It feels like we’ve become desensitised [to social issues]. So many of us are quick to jump on Facebook and post about our problems, but in amongst everything on social media, it feels like your problem is just a little drop in the ocean.”
Rob Reed guests on the album, which is the first to feature current bassist Jay Lewis Kreft and second guitarist Ryan Barnard.
“The songs are a bit bigger [than debut See You At The End], there’s more of a punch behind them and it’s a bit riffier because we’ve now got two guys on guitar so they can play off each other,” says Freya.
The five-piece will tour later this year. See www.lastflight2pluto.com. NRS
