JOHN WETTON’S LIFE TO BE EXPLORED IN NEW BOX SET
Late singer’s family announce a very special collection.
Details of a new box set celebrating John Wetton’s solo career have been announced. An Extraordinary Life will feature remastered editions of his six solo albums plus bonus tracks and a hardback book written by Prog contributor Nick Shilton. It’s due for completion this year and will be exclusively available from Burning Shed before going on general release.
“A few initial interviews caused the sleeve notes accompanying re-releases of John’s solo albums to morph into a book that pays tribute to John’s extraordinary music and life,” Shilton tells Prog. The tome will include interviews with members of Asia, UK, King Crimson and Family, as well as Phil Manzanera and Steve Hackett.
The special package has been curated with help from the former King Crimson and Asia vocalist’s wife and son who’ve described the project as a “labour of love”.
