AVA (right) release their debut album Waves on One Little Indian on July 12. The instrumental duo comprises experimental violinist Anna Phoebe, who’s performed with Jethro Tull and Anathema, and pianist Aisling Brouwer.
The Contortionist’s new EP Our Bones is out on eOne on August 9. It’s the US band’s first release since their 2017 album Clairvoyant. The fourtrack coincides with their UK tour, which includes a performance at ArcTanGent Festival near Bristol.
VOLA have announced four UK shows in addition to festival appearances at Ramblin’ Man (Maidstone) and Radar (Guildford) this summer. The Dutch fourpiece play London (Sept 7), Manchester (8), Glasgow (9) and Nottingham (10). Aussies Hemina revisit themes from their debut on Night Echoes, out via Bandcamp on August 9.
The quartet combine 80s synthscapes with progressive metal and pop on their fourth album, recently previewed on the 80s-inspired We Will.
