“I remember being very excited when the magazine first appeared, because this had been an area of music that had shrunk in terms of the way it was being covered in the media. And it could have gone either way.

Prog could have disappeared, but thankfully it’s grown in stature. What stood out from the start was the attention to detail and the high quality of the layout; this mirrored the way in which the artwork for progressive albums was always so important. And I think the magazine has made a big difference to the way in which the scene has developed. It has helped to encourage young talent, and that’s something to celebrate.”
