Acle Kahney
“T esseract are pioneers of their own genre, and tesseract are very much the sound of acle. He’s not a songwriter that makes it all about him or all about one thing, he gives everyone in the band their own space to shine as individuals. musically, nocturne is such an exceptional track that shows the breadth of their sound, mixing the heavy with some really beautiful melodies.
“But it’s not just about what they’ve gifted us with music, it’s also what they’ve gifted the scene. they’ve opened the doors for a lot more people discovering bands and other types of music that has become a very different subcategory of its own.
“one of the first times i saw them was in guildford eight years ago when Dan [tompkins] had lost his voice. seeing the whole room sing the songs back to them was special, and you could tell this was a band people cared about. i’ve never seen so much passion from an audience. and as they’ve progressed they’ve helped a lot of other uk bands gain exposure they wouldn’t have had without them. it’s had an incredible ripple effect, and ultimately radar Festival wouldn’t be possible without what acle has achieved.”
