Great to see Camel back on the cover of Prog 102. Like every Camel album or gig, even reading about Camel is special.
The interview with Andy Latimer was interesting and how true, indeed, when he says that years ago, it wasn’t just about the disc but the sleeve as well. I still like the hard copy of an album, rather than a download. Sometimes the modern way isn’t the best way!
I am looking forward to receiving the Moonmadness DVD and then the double CD after. I have seen Camel many times and it has always been something special. So hopefully one day we will see a new tour and a new album. The current line-up is perfect and with the talent of Pete Jones, there has to be a new album waiting to be recorded.
Also looking forward to the interview with Fruupp in issue 103: an amazing, talented band that were never truly recognised back in the 70s. I often wonder if Stephen Houston hadn’t left, would they have gone on to greater things? After all, they all had the talent like Vincent McCusker. Could we see a reformed Fruupp? There is a sudden interest in their music, even if it is
40+ years too late. I remember them
continually touring supporting bands like Genesis, and had a really good and strong following on the college and uni circuit. So if Fruupp were ever to reform, I’d be first in the queue for tickets.
