Prog

AMAZING WORDS!

-

Prog 122 has amazed me, page after page. [I started in the news section with] Steve Howe revealing the new recording of an album, The Quest with Billy Sherwood and team. I saw Yes perform in Brighton in 2019 and their performance was amazing. I look forward to hearing their new album.

Then over the page, I read that Marillion are to release a reissue of Fugazi. I can’t wait to add this to my Script For A Jester’s Tear and Clutching At Straws reissues. I remember as a 15-yearold watching the paint on the face of

Fish on Top Of The Pops as he spat the lyrics of Assassing and Punch & Judy on screen. Next up, another album from Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull. Who would have thought, back in 1967, this band would still be bringing out new hits in 2021/2022? Another album or two will be something to look forward to.

Then a fabulous section from Genesis. Another great group who’ve changed over the decades bringing hit after hit. I can listen to their whole catalogue and not get bored. I love to hear about all these old bands and the new blood, too.

Finally, Back To Live was a magnificent piece and how true it is, so amazing that the stages have been swept and seats dusted, not that many will sit.

But with the curtains opening for our entertainment this section showed just how happy performers will be to entertain the public from the stage. Long live Prog!
