Fun on the run

-

It’s Friday night, and I’m just finishing off the March edition, reading ‘Race for (mid) life’. I am that person sitting on the couch (with a glass of wine) thinking ‘But I can’t do that’. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in September 2020, age 42, and after finishing my treatment in May 2021, have spent the past few months longing for my hair to hurry up and grow, and worrying that my creaky bones and body will break.

So, to prove myself wrong, and how amazing I actually am, I’ve signed up for my local Race for Life at the end of May, along with my two children. I’ve coped with chemo: I’ve got this!

I love your magazine. I first found a copy in the doctor’s surgery about four years ago, and have subscribed ever since. It’s my monthly sanity pill. Love and best wishes to you all – we’re all amazing in our own way. Linda Macdonald
