When you’re short on time, it can be tempting to rely on ready-made shop-bought food, but a new study has given us yet another reason why it’s best to avoid processed meals.

The research, from Florida Atlantic University, found a link between processed food and poor mental health. Looking at depression, the number of mentally unhealthy days, and the number of anxious days, it revealed that people who swerved this type of food reported better mental wellbeing.
