One Hundred Years (from Pornography, 1982)

“Well, it’s funny, they’ve got the deeper stuff like Faith and Pornography, but also the big poppy hits, too. I love the jolly ones – although ‘jolly’ is the antithesis of any word associated with The Cure, isn’t it?! – like Friday I’m In Love. I also love One Hundred Years, from Pornography – my favourite Cure album. But I do like the poppy ones because they’re all part of the soundtracks to our lives, aren’t they? So… if I was going for the meat, I’d go for Pornography. Sorry, that sounds a bit risqué, doesn’t it?!”
