APPEAL FORMGR WAGONS:

The National Wagon Preservation Group has announced an appeal to purchase HAA coal hoppers Nos. 354456 (from the Ayrshire Railway Preservation Society) and 350002 (pictured ‘plinthed’ outside DB Cargo’s Knottingley depot on October 28, 2017). The group is hoping to raise £5250 for the two vehicles, which will cover the purchase price, replacement parts and transport of the two classic ‘Merry-Go-Round’ hoppers. Notably, Shildon-built No. 350002 of 1965 was the first production HAA to be constructed by BR after prototypes Nos. 350000 and 350001 in 1964 (both already preserved).
