STOURBRIDGE RELAYING:
Anyone familiar with the Stourbridge Town branch in the West Midlands – famous for its Class 139 Parry People Movers – will be pleased to hear the track was relaid in early March, which should hopefully overcome its previously ‘bouncy’ behaviour. The 0.75-mile branch was closed from March 6-13 as the old track was removed and new rails put down. This brought the extremely rare sight of main line locomotives to the line – an unidentified Class 56 being just visible in the distance of this shot taken on March 11.
