CLASS 365 ‘NETWORKER’

GOVIA Thameslink Railway is to cease using Class 365 ‘Networkers’ from the May timetable change, with the remaining sets being handed back to the Department for Transport’s Train Fleet company, which took over their ownership from Eversholt in 2020.

Since February, their use has been somewhat limited, with one pair of units undertaking a peak hour return working (1P05/06.37 Peterborough-King’s Cross and 1P52/18.05 return) on weekdays.

Longer term, other stock will be introduced – such as c2c’s Class 387/3 sets, which will become surplus around the end of the year when six Class 720 ‘Aventra’ units are due to be delivered.
