NYMR GETS ‘FUSS-FREE ACCESS COACH’
MK.1 TSO No. 5001, which has been converted to an accessible vehicle featuring double doors, accessible toilet facilities and space for wheelchair users, returned to the
North Yorkshire Moors Railway in March. Previously unrestored and still carrying InterCity colours, it has been rebuilt by Rampart Engineering at Barrow Hill and now sports maroon livery, with air brakes and ETH replaced by vacuum brakes and steam heat.
ELSECAR MK.1S TO ECCLESBOURNE
THREE Mk.1 coaches from the Elsecar Heritage Railway (TSO Nos. 3958 and 4903, plus BSK No. 35305) are to be moved to the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway.
GUV LEAVES BROCKENHURST
AFTER more than 20 years in static use with a cycle hire company at Brockenhurst station, Mk.1 GUV No. 96111 has been acquired by the North Dorset Railway and arrived at its new home at Shillingstone on March 1.
