FINAL CALEDONIAN SLEEPER MK.3 DISPOSED OF

THE transfer of Mk.3a SLEP No. 10542 to the West Somerset Railway from Long Marston in June concluded the disposal of the 53 former Mk.3 Caledonian Sleepers which were taken off lease and handed back to Porterbrook in 2019. Only nine have been scrapped, the other 44 having been sold on for further use, many in a static capacity.
