Central Line Investment Programme [CLIP]

WITH no replacement trains ordered and a legal requirement to meet Rail Vehicle Accessibility Regulations [RVAR] dating back to 2010, LU has made the decision to overhaul the Central Line and Waterloo & City Line trains. With replacement AC motors to bogies and door interlocking systems, the work should enable units to remain in passenger service well into the 2030s.

Work on the first unit should begin later this year.
