Crewe Heritage Centre's No. 43018 is being repainted into original blue/ yellow livery, as carried when it emerged from Crewe Works in 1976. Other cosmetic work to put it back to original external condition, such as refitting of the guard's window (which had been plated over) has also taken place. Gloss coats were being applied on July 23.
