SHUNTER RESTORATIO­N:

Drewry 0-4-0 DM No. 2164 was transferre­d from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to the Derwent Valley Railway at Murton on June 9. Built in 1941, the shunter saw service in Egypt during the Second World War. Despite not running for over 20 years, it is having a full mechanical assessment at the DVLR with the intention of returning it to full working order. When restored it will carry WD green livery and numbering.
