‘Pacer' Gala is success

The Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr Railway has described its ‘Pacer' Gala, held on bank holiday Saturday August 28, as possibly its most successful event to date, with all three ‘Pacer' units (one Class 142 and two Class 143s) running, potentially the last time this will happen. Another running day is planned on September 25, when brake van rides behind Sentinel 4wDH No.10222 will be on offer.

It's not very often that the Red Arrows and a ‘Pacer' end up in the same shot, but here several display aircraft are captured together with No. 143606 at the Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr gala day at Cynheidre on August 28. Phil Fitzsimmons
