DECORATED ‘DYSONS'

-

Class 92 locomotives have reached the livery prototype stage and are being evaluated prior to production being authorised. Accurascale reports that it is happy with fine tuning of the bogies and other areas of the model which were identified as needing attention at the engineering prototype stage, and the model now meets its stringent standards. Together with small adjustments to the livery colours of the GB Railfreight version of the model, and tweaks to livery details on the other samples, it is considered to be ready for production which may well have been authorised by the time this issue of Rail Express Modeller goes to press.

The delivery schedule has slipped to the third quarter of 2022 where the scarcity of production slots and reduced workforce sizes due to the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in delays and material shortages. Furthermore, modellers are being made aware that the batch size of each model is limited as a result. A price increase for pre-ordered models will be applied on January 1, 2022, so modellers are being urged to order early to take advantage of the current ‘early bird' offers.
