FOLLOWING Mark Dabbs' letter about Class 25

No. D7523 in the September issue, several readers have contacted us to point out that the locomotive's name – John F Kennedy – actually refers to the then owner of the machine (Dr John F Kennedy) who named it after himself at the Crewe Works open day in 1991, rather than the 35th President of the USA. The loco is understood to be at Shackerstone for repairs, with ownership remaining with the Epping Ongar Railway. Ed
