Southern drivers smash fundraising target
SIX train drivers employed by GTR operator Southern have successfully completed a cycling event to raise awareness of mental health issues and exceeded the amount they were aiming to raise for charity.
The team of six, led by Andy Johnson, who starred in our ‘In the Cab’ feature in the October issue, took part in the 55-mile London to Brighton Cycle Ride on September 19. Aiming to raise £2000 for charity Campaign Against Living Miserably, they actually achieved donations totalling over £3500 (including Gift Aid), a terrific result. Andy wishes to thank all
Rail Express readers who kindly donated to the cause.
