WATERMAN’S ‘RAT’ BACK IN ACTION

AFTER more than 20 years out of service, and having had spells at Bo’ness, Carnforth and Washwood Heath, Pete Waterman’s Class 25, No. D7659 (25309/25909) returned to use on October 12, when it operated services at Peak Rail, with No. D8 (44008) Penyghent providing insurance. Its restoration has been undertaken at Rowsley.
