DID any Class 22 (63XX) diesels ever work into the Birmingham area, apart from moving from the North British works in Scotland to the Western Region when new?

Our ‘Power By The Hour’ expert Gareth Bayer received this response from an acquaintance: “I’ve got a note of D6327 making it to New Street on a DMU drag from Oxford around 1970. Would have been an BSYP [blue with small yellow warning panels] machine at the time.”

Do any readers have their own sightings or information that would more fully answer Robert’s question? Ed
